A former Greenwood resident already serving time in the Arkansas Department of Corrections on charges out of cental Arkansas was brought back to Sebastian County this week to face a pair of felony failure to appear counts stemming from previous crimes.
Aaron R Shepard, 30, whose last listed address with the court system was in the 3000 block of Brumer Court in Greenwood, was returned to Sebastian County on March 20 as a return to testify inmate. He was facing Class C felony charges of failure to appear from October of 2021 and received eight years in prison with an additional 12-year suspended.
Shepard is already serving a 36 month sentence out of Pulaski County on a theft by receiving/credit or debit card conviction. He was tagged as an habitual offender in that case and was sent to prison in August of 2022.
He has previously done time in the ADC on forgery, financial identity fraud, and two theft of property convictions from 2018.
His new sentence will run concurrently with its existing present time out of Pulaski county.
