A 21-year-old Russellville woman died and a 29-year-old passenger in her vehicle was taken to an area hospital and treated for unspecified injuries after an accident on I40 Monday night , according to the Arkansas State Police.
Information supplied in the ASPP preliminary report says a 2021 Nissan driven by 210year-old Alisa Long was traveling eastbound just before pm Tuesday night when the vehicle hydroplaned, struck a ditch, and rolled over onto the roof.
Long died in the accident af her body was sent to the Pulaski County Coroner's Office for autopsy. The passenger, 20-year-old Nathan Tackett, also of Russellville, was transported to St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Russellville for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Responding trooper Ervin F. Clokey noted rainy conditions and a wet roadway were factors in the accident.,
