A 30-year-old Lexa woman died in May, and a Marianna couple has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death.
On June 7, 2024, Dodge Pinegar, 24, and Shadee Edgin, 30, were taken into custody by the Arkansas State Police's (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division in connection with the death of Ashley Monroe, 30, of Lexa.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the Lee County Sheriff's Office requested that ASP look into the homicide.
A woman's body was discovered by a nearby farmer on a farm field road off Lee County Road 706, which is located north of Marianna. Later on, Monroe was revealed to be the victim.
