ASP: Logan County 42-year-old man killed in crash on State Highway 109 inside Paris city limits

PARIS, Logan County — A fatal accident occurred late Saturday night on State Highway 109 near Brushy Mountain Road in Logan County, leaving one person dead.


The crash, reported at 9:06 p.m. on March 15, 2025, involved a single vehicle and is under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.


According to the initial report, a 2023 Hyundai Elantra, driven by 42-year-old Christopher Guerber of Paris, was traveling southbound when it veered off the highway on the south side and struck a tree. Guerber, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Authorities have not yet released further details about the cause of the crash.


The weather was clear, and the road conditions were dry at the time of the incidensccording to the Arkansas Sate Polic.


Guerber’s body was taken to the Logan County Coroner’s Office, and his next of kin have been notified.


Trooper Justin Shakleford of the Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation into the accident, which marks the 78th crash and 78th fatality reported by the agency this year.
