A 50-year-old Bella Vista man died Thursday as a result of a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of State Highway 102 and Kitty Road in Centerton.
According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police 50-year-old Eugene Dozier was driving a 2012 Matt dump truck eastbound on State Highway 102 at approximately 7:45 a.m. Thursday morning.
The dump truck sideswiped a 2018 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck driving westbound on the highway. The pickup truck had the mirror removed and the rub marks on the fender, but the dump truck veered off the roadway into the south ditch. The dump truck continue approximately 396 ft before rolling over and l anding approximately 93 ft from the point of roll over.
Dozier was crushed in the cab of the dump truck.
Investigating officer Detective West Grube of the Benton County Sheriff's Office noted clear weather conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the accident.
