Boone County sheriff announces apprehension of fugitive wanted on felony warrant, theft charge

On Thursday Boone County Sheriff Roy Martin reported the successful arrest of a wanted fugitive was made in Harrison on Wednesday.


Larry "Bubba" Thompson, 43, from Harrison was arrested on an outstanding an outstanding felony warrant as well as allegations of his involvement with a reported stolen motorcycle.


Probable cause was developed that Thompson was residing in a basement apartment near the intersection of Cherry Lane and West Sherman Ave. in Harrison. Thompson, who was believed to be inside the basement apartment, refused to come to the door.


Utilizing the Harrison Police/Boone County Special Operation Team officers successfully entered the property taking Thompson into custody without further incident.


A female who was also present in the home was taken into custody and charged with obstruction. As a result of the arrest Boone County Detectives were able to successfully recover the stole n motorcycle as well.


Thompson is currently being held in the Boone County Sheriff's Department on a no bond with an additional felony theft charge pending.


The female that was taken into custody for the obstruction offense, was cited, and released from jail.
