In November 2006, the life of 19-year-old Tracy Onawa Jones was tragically cut short.
Tracy, who was working for a traveling magazine sales company, was last seen at a truck stop in Little Rock. Her employer and boyfriend, Robert Blair, had dropped her off on November 15 to sell magazine subscriptions to truckers. Throughout the day, Tracy was seen interacting with several people, but she mysteriously vanished.
When Tracy failed to answer Robert's calls that evening, he grew concerned. The next day, he searched for her and reached out to her loved ones, but no one had heard from her. On November 17, Robert reported Tracy missing to the Little Rock police.
Days later, on November 26, Tracy's body was discovered in a ditch off Highway 61 in Memphis. Her body was partially nude, bound with duct tape, and showed signs of sexual assault, stabbing, and beating. The autopsy revealed that she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Investigators believe that Tracy was not killed where her body was found. The coroner could not determine the exact time of death, but reports suggest she was likely killed closer to November 26 than November 15. This raises the chilling possibility that Tracy was held captive for days before her murder.
The FBI suspects that Tracy's killer is connected to the trucking industry, given her last known location at a truck stop and the discovery of her body along a highway frequented by truckers. It is believed that the killer is no longer in Arkansas. Despite collecting DNA
evidence from Tracy's body, no suspects or persons of interest have been publicly identified.
A monetary reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Tracy's killer(s).
