Aubrey Dameron, a 25-year-old member of the Cherokee Nation, has been missing since the early hours of March 9, 2019.

On the night of her disappearance, Aubrey left her mother’s home in Grove, Oklahoma around 3:30 AM, stating she was going to meet someone and would return later. However, she has not been seen or heard from since that night, and the identity of the person she was meeting remains unknown.

Aubrey took only her cell phone and the clothes she was wearing when she left. The last known activity from her cell phone was a ping near her mother’s house at approximately 3:42 AM, before it was either turned off or the battery died.

At the time of her disappearance, Aubrey had recently moved back to Grove from New Mexico after a breakup and was staying with her mother, stepfather, and brother. Some sources suggest there may have been tensions in the household.

Family members reported a decline in Aubrey's communication and social media activity in the months leading up to her disappearance, which they found concerning.

Aubrey has epilepsy and left without her medication, indicating she did not plan to be away for an extended period. Her disappearance adds to the growing number of missing Indigenous women in recent years.

A disturbing twist in the investigation occurred on March 12, 2019, when a woman claiming to be a friend of Aubrey’s called Aubrey’s ex-boyfriend in Colorado. She alleged that Aubrey was being held hostage over a drug debt and demanded payment for her release.

This call was later determined to be a hoax, and the caller was charged with extortion.

Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement, Aubrey Dameron's whereabouts remain unknown.
