Flint Flory, a 62-year-old man from Bokoshe went missing on January 11, 1998. Twenty-seven years later, his case remains unsolved, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is still seeking information to provide answers.
Flory was 5’7”, weighed approximately 180 pounds, and had gray hair and brown eyes. He had a tattoo on his upper left shoulder of a heart with an arrow through it. He also used the alias Merit Juan Brown, which may be significant to his disappearance, though the reason for this alternate name is unknown.
Flory was last seen in Bokoshe, a small town in LeFlore County with a population of fewer than 500. His family last heard from him in November 1998, and by January 1998, he was reported missing.
No evidence of Flory’s whereabouts has been found since his disappearance. There are no records of financial activity, sightings, or other leads.
The OSBI has no information about the circumstances of his disappearance, and the rural setting of Bokoshe, with limited surveillance in 1998, has made the investigation challenging.
The use of the alias Merit Juan Brown raises questions about whether Flory may have been known by this name elsewhere or if it could be connected to his case.
Flory would be 89 years old today. His case is active with the OSBI’s Cold Case Unit and is listed in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs #MP13833).
Authorities are seeking any information, including details related to Flory or the alias Merit Juan Brown, that could help resolve this case.
