On September 8, 1995, Patti Diane Larkins, a 26-year-old woman from Stillwell mysteriously vanished.
Despite extensive searches and investigations, no significant leads were found, and Patti's case went cold. It wasn't until March 17, 1996, that her remains were discovered in a ravine east of Stillwell.
In May 1996, surgical x-rays were used to identify the remains as those of Patti Larkins'. The investigation revealed that Patti had been deceased for approximately seven months.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) took over the case, but to this day, the circumstances surrounding Patti's disappearance and death remain a mystery. The case remains open, and authorities continue to seek any information that might help solve this cold case.
Larkins was born in Springdale in 1969 and moved to Stillwell s an adult. Very little is known about her disappearance, and she may have lived in Fayetteville and Siloam Springs prior to moving to Oklahoma.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the OSBI at 405-848-6724.
