Cold case Files: Stillwell teen vanished in December of 2020 and authorities have virtually no leads

Michael James MacDougal

Just over four years ago on December 10, 2020, a 15-year-old boy vanished from Stillwell. On that fateful day, Michael James MacDougal left his home in the Bell Road area of Adair County and hasn't been heard from since.

Law enforcement initially believed that Michael left home of his own accord, but it is feared that something may have happened to him afterward.

He wasn’t fighting with his family, and he did not have a girlfriend. Michael was known as a good kid who didn’t cause trouble.

Authorities thoroughly searched the area where he was last seen, but they found no trace of him.

Investigators have meticulously reviewed security footage from various locations in the area and identified two vehicles of interest that were present at the time of Michael's disappearance.

The vehicles in question traveled on Bell Road between 7:50 and 8:00 a.m. on December 10, 2020. One is a white Chevrolet Suburban, and the other is a black Chevrolet or GMC pick-up truck, possibly from the early 2000s model, with Nerf bars.
