Fort Smith police arrest 38-year-old on four counts of possession of material depicting child sexual acts

A 38-year-old Fort Smith man, Phillip Michael Ferguson, was arrested Monday by the Fort Smith Police Department on four felony counts related to child sexual abuse material.
Ferguson is currently being held at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center in a special housing unit with a bond set at $150,000.
According to booking information from the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, Ferguson faces one count of pandering or possessing visual or print medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child (Class C felony) and three counts of the same charge with subsequent offenses (Class B felonies).
The charges stem from an investigation by Fort Smith authorities, though specific details about the circumstances leading to the arrest have not yet been released.
