Law enforcement officials in Northwest Arkansas are still attempting to identify a man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in the 1600 block of West Don Tyson Parkway in Springdale on Friday.
According to a preliminary police report from the Arkansas State Police, the man, identified only as John Doe, crossed over in front of a 2817 Ford 350 pickup truck that was eastbound on the parkway. According to the report the driver of the truck swerved to avoid contact but the victim jumped in in front of the vehicle.
The man was takien the Northwest Medical in Springdale where was later pronounced dead by the Washington County Coroner's office.
Officer Patrick Olcott of the Springdale Police Department work the accident and noted clear weather conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the fatality.
