A 50-year-old Logan County woman who was booked into the Logan County Detention Center last week on a charge of a sexual indecency with a child remains behind bars as of Monday morning according to information from the Logan County SOheriff's office.
Police say 50-year-old Anita Hunt, whose address is listed in Delaware in Logan county, was taken into custody just after 2:50 p.m. on August 31st and charged with one count of sexual indecency with a child.
As of September 5 at 8:30 am none of the information on the particulars of the charges against Hunt had been released by the LCSO or posted in court records on Arkansas Court Connect.
Hunt, who also goes by the last name of Geiger, shows over one dozen jobs listed on her social media account involving working with minors. There is no indication if the child she was involved with was encountered through a work relationship or if they were a family member.
Hunt 's Facebook page indicates she has worked at a number of public school districts including Clarksville Elementary and the Two Rivers School District. She also has been employed in the past as a substitute and early childhood development teacher at a number of daycares and other similar facilities.
Hunt remains incarcerated in the Logan County Detention Center apparently waiting her first arraignment on the charge.
Today in Fort Smith will release more information on this story once it has been obtained through court records.
