Nathaniel Gareth Doggett, 22, of Doddridge (Miller County) has been sentenced to 198 months in federal prison for distributing child pornography. The sentencing, presided over by the Honorable Chief Judge Susan O. Hickey, took place at the U.S. District Court in Texarkana and concluded with an additional 10 years of supervised release for the convicted man.

Court documents reveal that Doggett used a popular social media platform to send illicit materials to a minor, sparking outrage and prompting swift action from authorities. The case first came to light following a CyberTip submitted to the FBI by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

During a subsequent interview with FBI agents, Doggett confessed to downloading and sharing child pornography, including disturbing files depicting pre-pubescent children, through the app.

The legal wheels began turning in June 2023 when a Grand Jury in the Western District of Arkansas indicted Doggett. He entered a guilty plea in August 2024, sealing his fate. As part of his conviction, Doggett will now be required to register as a sex offender.

U.S. Attorney Clay Fowlkes of the Western District of Arkansas announced the sentencing, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of multiple agencies in bringing Doggett to justice.

The investigation was spearheaded by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with support from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, the El Dorado Police Department, and the Arkansas State Police.
