Motorcycle hits turning truck on US Highway 412 inSprindale leaving one dead and two injured

SPRINGDALE, AR — Officials in Northwest Arkansas say a Saturday collision on US 412 at the intersection with CR-550 claimed the life of a Springdale man and left two others injured
The accident occurred at approximately 7:29 p.m. under clear weather conditions on dry roads.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Thomas Baughman, 40, of Springdale, was riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson eastbound in the left lane of US 412.
At the same time, Caleb Fouts, 21, of Lowell, was driving a 2008 Honda northbound on CR-550, attempting to turn left onto US 412. The front of Baughman’s motorcycle struck the left side of Fouts’ vehicle.
Baughman was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced deceased. His body was taken to the Washington County Coroner’s Office, and his next of kin have been notified.
Nicole Baughman, 45, a passenger on the motorcycle, and Fouts, the driver of the Honda, sustained injuries and were transported to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale for treatment.
The incident is under investigation by Trooper Jackson R. Little of the Arkansas State Police.
