On March 6, 2025, three juveniles found what appeared to be human remains, including a skull, in a wooded area near a bike trail in Rogers, Arkansas. The location is between South 7th Street and the bike trail, and between West Nursery Road and West Price Lane, close to several schools like Birch Kirksey Middle School and Rogers New Technology High School.
The proximity to community areas has raised local concerns. The Rogers Police Department secured the scene and began processing it the next morning. Initial assessments suggest the remains are old, with only bones remaining, indicating the individual likely died some time ago. The preliminary results indicated the remains are that of a female.
The department has stated there is no immediate threat to the public.
