information provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says that an Indianola man was killed in a boating accident Sunday night on Lake Eufaula in Pittsburg County.
According to that report, three men were in a boat heading south under bridge when the vessel ran aground and hit several trees.
Two of the three men were thrown from the boat. Charles Gustafson, 25, of indianola died as the result of injuries sustained in the accident.
Another man in the boat, a 25-year-old unidentified Eulaula man was flown to a Tulsa hospital where he was admitted in fair condition. The other passenger in the boat, a 23-year-old man from McAlester, was taken to the McAlester Regional Health Center and was treated and released.
According to the report the crash occurred near the Number 9 Marina in Pittsburgh County.
