A 25-year-old Commerce resident, Bryson J. Shoemaker, was arrested by Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies on Saturday, facing a slew of charges related to burglary, larceny, and property damage.
The arrest follows a series of alleged incidents that have raised concerns among local residents in Ottawa County.
Shoemaker, identified by inmate ID 22097, has been charged with multiple counts, including:
Five counts of Burglary in the Second Degree
Two counts of Grand Larceny
Two counts of Petit Larceny
Four counts of Damaging or Tampering with a Vehicle
One count of Malicious Injury or Destruction of Property Valued at $1,000 or More
Authorities have not released specific details about the incidents leading to Shoemaker’s arrest, but the charges suggest a pattern of property-related crimes, including unauthorized entry into buildings or vehicles and intentional damage to property.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation, and additional charges may be pending as more evidence is gathered.
Shoemaker is currently being held at the Ottawa County Jail.
