FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ark. – Early Saturday morning, a devastating car crash claimed the lives of a mother and her two children in Franklin County. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. on Interstate 40 near the 31-mile marker.

The victims have been identified as 44-year-old Tyeasha Deshun Green, her son CJ Clemons, a varsity basketball player at Morrilton High School, and her daughter Nel’ Taiyah Green, a second-grader at Southwest Christian Academy.

According to the Arkansas State Police, the family's vehicle veered off the road, striking a bridge wall before landing in a creek bed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities have not yet released any details on what might have led to the accident.

The community is mourning the loss of this family, with many expressing their grief and condolences.

"CJ was an incredible young man with a bright future ahead of him," said his basketball coach, Reggie Swinton. "Nel’ Taiyah was a sweet and quiet girl who brought joy to everyone around her," added Swinton.

The school districts and local community have come together to support the families affected by this tragedy.

Morrilton High School held a moment of silence in honor of CJ, and Southwest Christian Academy is providing counseling services for students and staff.
