Sixty-eight-year-old Plainview pedestrian dies after being struck by car last week

The Arkansas State Police has released information concerning an auto-pedestrian accident lst week that took the life of a 68-year-old Plainview man.


According to a report filed on the Arkansas Department of Public Safety website, on January 2, 68-year-old Robert John Nichols was walking southbound in the middle lane of the 100 block of South Spring Avenue in Plainview when an eastbound 2014 Mercedes-Benz struck him.


The accident occured at 6;46 p.m. and the investigating trooper said rainy and wet conditions at the time was also a contributing factor in the accident.
