Social media connection between eastern Arkansas murder victim and suspects wife
Sydney Sutherland, a 25-year-old woman who disappeared while jogging in Arkansas, has been found murdered near her home.
Police said the body of Sydney Sutherland was discovered in Newport on Friday, following a three-day search operation using K-9 units and helicopter crews.
Sutherland was last seen running on State Hwy 18 between Newport and Grubbs around 3 pm on Wednesday.
Details on where exactly Sutherland's body was found and how she was killed were not immediately released.
Online jail booking records show that 28-year-old Quake Lewellyn has been charged with one count of capital murder in connection to the murder of Sydney Sutherland.
According to police, Lewellyn, is a farmer from Jonesboro and was known to the victim, but the nature of their relationship is unclear.
Quake Lewellyn was a member of the Sydney Sutherland Missing Arkansas Facebook page. Lewellyn also showed up to help search for Sutherland when she was originally reported as missing.
In addition, Quake Lewellyn’s wife, Gracie Dawn Lewellyn was connected to the deceased woman on Facebook. (See screen shot).
Another woman, Brooke Lairson Allensworth, has been missing from Oil Trough Arkansas since July of 2018.
Allensworth was last seen in Oil Trough, on July 11, 2018.
She was driving her black 2007 Toyota Camry from Newport,
to Searcy when she got a flat tire.
She attempted to fix the flat, but the fix apparently didn't last.
She never arrived at her destination.
According to a source, Lewellyn is being questioned in the disappearance of Allensworth as well.
